Path Description
In this path, students will explore over four decades of artwork by Jenny Holzer including works completed in 2024 and 2025. Holzer’s temporary exhibition in the Pavilions will be the subject of close-looking exercises as students consider her text-based works and discuss how she uses words and phrases as tools for personal and political examination. Students will also participate in a writing activity to draft and design their own Truisms.
Educators will find this path option to be most appropriate for high school students who are familiar with 20th century art history and are curious to explore new art media. This is also an option for history or government classes.
