Words to Eat By: A prix fixe dinner inspired by Jenny Holzer’s Truisms and autumn’s flavors

As part of the ongoing Jenny Holzer exhibition at Glenstone, the artist will debut what you love, a site-specific, large-scale outdoor projection. Developed specifically for the Water Court in the Pavilions, the work will be on view November 6-9, from dusk until 8 p.m. 

The Café will be open on these dates for a reservation-only prix fixe dinner, with seatings at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. for party size of 4 or fewer.

Visitors must already have tickets to Glenstone to attend Words to Eat By, and reservations are strongly encouraged. Walk-ins for this prix fixe dinner will only be accommodated first-come, first-served based on availability.

The Café

Open 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.*

The Café features seasonal menu items made with locally sourced ingredients; the Café offers indoor dining on a first-come, first-served basis. Vegan and gluten-free options are available.

* On November 6, 7, 8, and 9, the Café will only open for a special prix fixe dinner with seatings at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. Visitors with timed ticked can reserve here.

The Patio

Open 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.*

The Patio offers espresso drinks, beverages, and pastries. All items are served in compostable to-go containers.

* Patio hours are subject to change.

Bookstore

Open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Located in the Arrival Hall, the Bookstore offers a selection of Glenstone publications, rare and popular titles, and Glenstone merchandise for purchase.

FAQs

Does the Café do reservations?

No. All dining services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

When are the Café and Patio open?

The Café is open Thursday through Sunday, 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Patio is open Thursday through Sunday, 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., spring through fall, and is closed during the winter.

Do you offer vegan and gluten-free options?

Yes. Both the Café and Patio offer vegan and gluten-free dining.

Can I bring my own food and drinks to Glenstone?

Glenstone encourages visitors to bring water bottles for the outdoor trails, especially in the warmer months. In the spring, summer, and fall, water bottle filling stations are available at several points on our trails.

Small snacks and personal food items may be brought, but no food or drink is allowed in the museum spaces.

Glenstone does not allow picnicking.

Can we order food to go?

At the Patio, visitors can order drinks to go. Glenstone does not offer the option to order or take food to go.

What forms of payment do you accept?

The Café, Patio, and Bookstore do not accept cash and are card-only.

Can my entire party be seated together?

Tables at the Café are communal. Large parties may not all be able to sit together, but are welcome to split up.

Can I visit the Bookstore without a ticket to Glenstone?

Yes. If you only want to visit the Bookstore, you do not require a reservation to Glenstone.
