A gravel path cuts through an expanse of meadow. A number of visitors are moving toward the grey concrete buildings in the distance. Trees amass further in the landscape.

Guaranteed Entry

Please note: As outlined on our Operating Updates page, the Pavilions building at Glenstone will be temporarily closed beginning March 21, 2024 and our ticketing system will change.

Visitors using Guaranteed Entry are assured Glenstone Admission (Outdoor Experience) under our new ticketing system. However, admission to the Gallery building and the Iconoclasts exhibition will be more limited, and will be issued on a first come, first served basis throughout the day as there is availability.

Glenstone has two ongoing programs for guaranteed walk-in entry—visitors using these programs do not need to schedule a visit in advance.

Students 12 and older (including college and graduate students), educators, active-duty military members, veterans, and museum professionals enjoy guaranteed entry for themselves plus one guest, 12 or older, upon presenting a valid identification card at the Arrival Hall.

Passengers who arrive at Glenstone on the Ride On bus (route 301) will receive guaranteed walk-in entry. The bus stops on our grounds, and visitors who exit the bus at Glenstone will be checked in by our Guides upon arrival. Please refer to the Montgomery County Department of Transportation website for information on trip planning, including parking guidelines.

Due to the fragile nature of the works on view, all visitors must be at least 12 years old. Visitors ages 12 to 17 are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Note for educators: if you are bringing a group of students to Glenstone, please schedule through our Group and School Visits page.
